This page describes how the BlueCompanion website (test.bluecompanion.eu and dev.bluecompanion.eu) uses cookies and similar technologies. The site uses only technical cookies and browser storage strictly necessary for its operation. No profiling, analytics or marketing cookies are used.
What are cookies?

Technical cookies and storage we use
We do not set HTTP cookies on the client. We use the browser's localStorage and sessionStorage exclusively for the items below. All are strictly necessary and do not require consent under EU ePrivacy/GDPR.

- Stores the JWT authentication token for admin users after login. Required to keep the admin panel session active.

- Up to 72 hours (configurable per environment); cleared on logout or expiry.

- Stores your preferred site language so we don't ask again on each visit.
- Duration
- Until you clear it or change language.

- Strictly necessary — user preference.
- Purpose
- Caches translated UI strings for the current browser tab to avoid re-fetching them on every page navigation.
- Duration
- Cleared when the browser tab is closed.
- Type
- Strictly necessary — performance.
- Purpose
- Records that you have seen and dismissed the cookie information banner, so it does not reappear on every page.
- Duration
- Until you clear your browser storage.

- Strictly necessary — consent record.
Third-party services
YouTube videos
Some pages embed videos from YouTube. We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not set tracking cookies on your device unless you actively start playing a video. If you click play, YouTube may then set its own cookies — please consult Google's privacy policy for details.
Web fonts
All web fonts (Manrope, Inter, Material Symbols, Roboto, Open Sans, Ubuntu) are served from our own server. No request is made to fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com.
What we do NOT use
BlueCompanion does not use any of the following on this website: profiling cookies, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible, etc.), advertising or remarketing pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads, etc.), social media widgets that track users, or cross-site behavioural trackers.
How to disable cookies in your browser
You can clear or block cookies and browser storage from your browser settings. Disabling the technical items above will log you out of the admin panel and reset your language preference, but will not prevent you from browsing the public site.
